At SYR Studio, we use the Botched Ink® saline tattoo removal system, one of the most trusted non-laser methods worldwide for correcting or removing permanent makeup gently and safely.
Safe, Gentle & Effective Removal for Unwanted Pigment
Saline tattoo removal works by implanting a skin-friendly saline solution into the treated area. During healing, pigment is naturally drawn up and out of the skin through the body’s own processes, gradually lightening or removing unwanted colour.

This method is ideal for cosmetic tattoos including brows, and lip liner that you’d like to revise, refine, or completely clear before starting fresh.

Restore Your Canvas Before New Work
Sometimes permanent makeup needs to be lightened or removed to give new artwork the best possible base. Factoring removal into your permanent makeup journey means you can:
• Correct colour shifts or faded results

• Remove work that no longer matches your style

• Start fresh with a clean, even foundation before re-modelling your look
Your brows and lips deserve the best starting point — removal sessions can be a key step toward that.

Permanent makeup isn’t one-and-done. Over time, pigments can shift, fade or no longer fit your evolving look. Sometimes, starting fresh is the best choice, but working over old pigment without removal can compromise colour, shape and longevity.
At SYR Studio, we believe in building beautiful results from a clean, healthy base and saline removal is an important part of that process when needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does saline removal hurt?
The treatment is usually described as mildly uncomfortable but very tolerable. After numbing cream is applied, any stinging tends to be brief.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on the pigment density, colour and how deep the original work was applied. Most clients notice change after 1–3 sessions, with more needed for deeper or older pigment.
Can saline removal cause scarring?
When performed correctly with professional technique and proper aftercare, there’s minimal inflammation and virtually no risk of permanent scarring.
Is saline removal suitable for all skin types?
Yes — Botched Ink® saline is formulated for all skin tones and types, including sensitive areas like brows and lip liner
Can this be done on fresh permanent makeup?
Yes, in certain cases we can perform an *emergency saline removal* within a short window after the original session, but timing and consultation are crucial.
I want to re-do my permanent makeup — should I remove first?
Often yes, clearing or lightening existing pigment helps ensure your new work heals evenly and looks its best. We can plan both removal and fresh application for you.
